Happy Thanksgiving!

In years past for Thanksgiving, I have written lengthy pieces on the meaning of the holiday and a critique of our modern day tradition in celebrating it.  Although I have more this year than any year past to be thankful for, I have but a very simple thought for you:

"Thanksgiving and gratitude necessarily require an Object."

Think about it.

If you're trying to insinuate that the object is your god, I disagree. Why does the object of gratitude always have to be something that doesn't exist? Bleh. :/

It seems a simple matter just to post a Thanksgiving message, which can apply to any time of the year. But what IS Thanksgiving to God anyway? Is it the mundane things we are grateful for like our homes, cars, entertainment, friends? Do we REALLY UNDERSTAND what God did for us in his sacrifice on Cavalry? Yesterday I was in the hospital. I had time to think about some to the things I am grateful for which I took for granted. Thinks like being able to sleep uninterrupted for more than an hour. Being able to drink WATER without being ill. Just being able to sip water was a blessing. Then being able to actually hod down food. Earlier in the year I was able again to walk. I am grateful for being to watch my children grow and the same for their children. Again we must return to Christ. He performed many miracles, but most people were blind and ungrateful.America, and yes the rest of the world seems like that now. Let us turn to prayer not just on special holidays but EVERY DAY. I'll shall leave this as anon Mr. Warren for now. I'll let you guess and ponder yourself. Happy New Year.
